Kelly Joanne Davis was born January 8th, 1970 to Susan and Richard Davis in Somers Point, New Jersey. Kelly has an older sister Kim, and a younger sister named Kacy. The Davis girls moved to California when Kelly was 4, and lived there until she was 21. The 3 sisters grew up in Southern California just a few miles from the beach. The sisters were very close as kids, and had lots of fun riding bikes, playing in the park, swimming, and playing tag football until the streetlights came on. Not to mention their time spent at the beach! Kelly and Kacy became best friends in middle school and did everything together. As Kacy remembers ""We were inseparable. Where one was, the other was sure to follow! Growing up as teenagers was really difficult. We had several step-dads and a pretty volatile childhood. But we had each other, and we were stuck like glue. Kelly and I protected each other, fought for each other and even lied for each other. We were the BEST of friends. Kelly was such a klutz growing up!....we used to say she would trip over her own shadow."" Around age 21 Kelly moved to Colorado. There she met and married a nice young man named Jim Worthington. Together they had 3 beautiful children, Amanda, Jack, and John. After about 8 years together, Kelly and Jim went through a difficult time and ended up divorcing. Even so, they still worked together raising their kids, whom they both loved immensely. In the several years that followed, Kelly faced a lot of adversity and pain in a bad relationship. It was a very dark time for her until Christmas 2009. That's when she finally turned things around. In April 2010 she met Matthew Tuck in Westminster, Colorado. Matt had vowed to never marry again, but that was before he met Kelly! Kelly charmed Matt with her kind heart, gentle spirit, and great sense of humor. Matt never met anyone before who loved life so much, and loved to laugh like Kelly! They were soon married and bought a house in Aurora, Colorado near Matt's work. Kelly loved animals, especially her cat Maeby, and dog Fergus. As Matt says ""Kelly not only took care of me, the house, and our pets, she also loved and cared for my 92 yr old dad who lives with us. Kelly and I tried to spoil each other as much as possible, and that was the basis of our relationship. We were best friends, and cracked each other up. Kelly was always quick to forgive me whenever we had a little fight. She just wanted to get back to laughing, loving, and hanging out together."" Kelly passed away unexpectedly Friday July 31st, 2015 from an ongoing illness. A Private Memorial Service will be held later in Kelly's honor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 South Quebec Street, Denver, Colorado 80231.
