Kelsey Solana Haynes, age 27, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 11, 2021. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Colorado Denver in May of 2021 and looked forward to becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Therapist. She married her long-time love, Alex Owens on September 23, 2020, and was a passionate mom to her three pets Maya, Finnegan, and Theo.
Kelsey loved her family with every fiber of her being and prioritized them above all else. She was fun and funny, empathetic and thoughtful, serious in her beliefs, and not afraid to share her opinion. She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, and granddaughter. She was a true friend. Kelsey was a compassionate soul and offered a voice on behalf of others. She made a difference in countless lives during and beyond her goal of becoming a Licensed Therapist. She led a life driven by empathy, kindness, and compassion, but was also a fierce competitor. She spent many years on the soccer field, had a love of reading and writing, enjoyed musical theatre, celebrating life outdoors, wine tasting; and especially loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband, Alex Owens, her mother, Amy Solis, her brother, Jackson Haynes, and her grandmother, Dorothy Brewster. She was preceded in death by her father, Bradley Haynes.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Centennial on December 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm followed by a reception. In honor of Kelsey, and for the health and safety of her family and friends, we ask that you please wear a mask during the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kelsey’s honor to The Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute at http://cc-tdi.kindful.com/honor-pages-2017/kelsey-and-alex
