Kenneth Eagle Barnhill Jr.

Honorable Kenneth E. Barnhill Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4th, 2020 in Parker, Colorado.

Ken was married to his loving wife Carolyn, for 37 years. As a native of Colorado, he was an avid hunter of Big Game and Pheasant and enjoyed his own piece of heaven outside Bailey, Colorado at the family cabin.

He served in the US Air Force as 2^nd LT. As a Founding Member in establishing the land development, Ken paved the way for what now stands as the United States Air Force Academy.

Ken continued with his public service as a member of Holland and Hart Attorneys at Law in Denver, and he later went on to establish the Law Offices of Lohf and Barnhill. This firm dealt in the areas of natural resources, corporate, and domestic relations in law.

With his many accomplishments, Ken became the Director of Rocky Mountain Mineral Law, a member and Chairman of the Colorado Supreme Court Grievance Committee, and Chairman to the Colorado Supreme Court Rules of Conduct. He was also the recipient of the Denver Bar Association award of Merit in 1983. Ken was also appointed to the First Judicial District Court of Jefferson County in March of 1987; he was praised for this thoughtfulness and his display of understanding to all those in his courtroom.
