Kenneth L. Barton

Kenneth L. Barton, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2014. He was born in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and lived most of his life in San Diego, California where he graduated from Coronado High School. Ken was employed by Unisys Corporation as an IT manager for thirty years. He then moved to the Denver area of Colorado in 2003, with his wife, to be near their children and grandsons. Ken's passions included riding his motorcycle, tooling around in his special edition Miata, hiking and playing games with friends in the Highlands Ranch Senior Club, teaching games to his grandsons, and watching movies. He was a loving partner to Barbara, his wife of 49 years, and a proud father of their two daughters, Karen and Stacy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, Highlands Ranch, Colorado; daughter Karen and her husband David Occhionero and their children Alex and Ryan, Littleton, Colorado; daughter Stacy and her husband Dan Sitz and their children Nick and Jack, Littleton, Colorado; sister Ardyth Roden, San Clemente, California. The family will receive friends at Ken's Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 31, 2014 11:00am, Southridge Recreation Center (Wildcat Room), 4800 McArthur Ranch Rd., Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
