Kenneth Lewis Briscoe

Kenneth Lewis Briscoe, 72, passed away October 19, 2018 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born May 26, 1946 in Great Falls, Montana to Lewis Samuel Briscoe and Catherine Rose Frustaci. He was the oldest of four boys.

Ken grew up in the Denver area. While he moved a lot during his lifetime, he always came back to Denver. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He then served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

He spent his first year at college at Brigham Young University, where he met his wife, Judy, during the first week of school. They were engaged eleven days later and have been together for 50 years. They have four beautiful children and eight amazing grandchildren. Family was very important to Ken. Everything he did was for his family.

Ken spent his professional career as a credit manager for construction supply. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to study the gospel and had a passion for teaching the Gospel Doctrine (Sunday School) class. He spent his free time reading, singing and performing. He will be remembered for his deep bass voice and bringing joy to others through his songs. He studied kenpo martial arts and became a black belt. He loved to cook and experiment while doing so, just like his Italian roots.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Judith Kay Briscoe; children, Heather (Marcus) Guillestegui, Chad (Rebecca) Briscoe, Todd (Mona) Hinman-Briscoe, Rachelle (Daniel) Waters; eight grandchildren (Mikayla, Emily, Connor, Katherine, Brian, Marcus, Luciana and Kaylen); brothers, Richard and Michael Briscoe. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Briscoe.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:30am, on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd., Centennial, CO 80121. Please gather in the parking lot of the Cemetery by 11:20am. Thank you!
