Kenneth W. Coyne was born in Mapleton, Iowa January 18, 1922. Mr. Coyne was a teenager during the depression. During the depression Kenneth and his father followed the harvest crews from Kansas to Canada doing very hard work. These difficult times prompted him to go into a career in the Army Air Corps at the age of 17, which required his parent's signatures. His first assignment was to go to the Allution Islands where the personnellived in tents. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service, at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Upon his retirement from the military he worked at Martin Marietta in administration and organizational positions. He worked under high clearance levels with international experts on various aero space projects. Kenneth married Gladys Paul in 1955. To this marriage two sons were born, Cody in 1956 and Scott in 1958. Gladys passed away November 4, 1984. Kenneth married his second wife Delores February 14, 1986. She proceded him in death in December 2004. After his retiremnet from Martin Marietta, Kenneth enjoyed staying on his property in Bayfield, Colorado, feeding the deer apples and enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed the Broncos and Rockies.
