Kenneth D. Koller

August 3, 1940 — April 14, 2008

Kenneth, age 67, passed away April 14, 2008. Kenneth worked at Pete's Bakery after high school for awhile. He then landed a job for Wisconsin Telephone Co. and honored the draft for Uncle Sam by joining the Coast Guard for six months and ended up staying seven years, training out of Cape May, New Jersey. He enjoyed lots of parties and had fun times in Philly and New York when they had time off. He was discharged in 1962, and returned to Wisconsin Bell for work, installing telephones in residences and businesses. His work took him to Minnesota, Illinois, and then to the Denver area before he retired in 1996. Following, he received a job with IBM, helping with outsourcing their computers. Kenneth enjoyed spending time bowling during his working years and got the highest score of 299 on the old Bowling for Dollars show. In 1983, Kenneth married the love of his life Yvonne. Together they shared 6 children. Kenneth retired in 1994 from IBM and has just been ""hanging out"" enjoying his time. Kenneth is the beloved husband of Yvonne (his little angel); father of Kurt (Alicia) Koller, Sheryl (Dean) Gordon, Jayne Dec, Mark Dec, David (Stephanie) Dec, Steve (Marni) Dec; brother of Carmen (Bob) Mentzel; grandfather of nine; and a great grandfather. He is also survived by a niece, nephews and numerous loving friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM with a Funeral Mass on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 10 AM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just to the west of Holly), in Centennial, Colorado. Entombment follows at Mount Olivet Cemetery, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Please share your memories of Kenneth and condolences with his family by clicking on the ""sign guestbook"" button below.
