Kenneth Boyer Lobb

June 20, 1954 — July 19, 2011

Kenneth Boyer Lobb entered the world on June 20, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. He was born the son of Robert I. and Meredyth Jo Oskins Lobb, and little brother to his loving sister Robin. His middle name, Boyer, was special in that it was his grandmother's maiden name. Growing up, he spent much of his childhood with his grandparents. He graduated from East High School in Denver. His early interests included riding his Harley motorcycle and he found a career in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning services (HVAC). He was very skilled in this area and was always willing to be of assistance to those who needed his expertise. Through the years, Ken found the love of Jesus and gave himself to the Lord. He has been a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for 20+ years. In the church, Ken filled his time with Bible studies, volunteering for the ""Street Beat"" program where he served meals to the homeless monthly. His missionary work consisted of several trips where he built churches in third world countries including Ecuador, Chile, Peru and Jamaica. He was an adored and active leader in the singles group for many years. He later found love and happiness with Laurie Lyn Jackson. Ken was so excited when he proposed to Laurie on July 4, 2007. She said yes! The happy couple became one on the beautiful day, October 8, 2008, at Denver South Seventh Day Adventist Church. In his marriage Ken gained a loving wife, four children (Bryon, Jodi, Bradley and Jaysa, as well as a son-in-law Jesse and daughters-in-law Marissa and Sara), and three grandchildren (Bobby, Alyssa, and Adalyn). Ken was also the brother-in-law to sisters and brothers of Laurie, and son-in-law to Jack and Rose Jackson, (all of whom reside in Nebraska). Whenever the opportunity arose, Ken was always the first one in the car ready and eager to make the rounds to visit all the kids and family. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with the grandkids and portrayed his love by playing farm, buying toys, and just being a Grandpa. The children grew quite attached to Grandpa Ken, and likewise, Ken was wrapped around all of their little fingers. Residing in Castle Rock, Colorado, Ken and Laurie shared a deep devotion to the Lord. They filled their extra time with weeknight Bible studies and attending the Denver South Church regularly, where Ken was a loved and respected former Deacon and recent Elder. They also enjoyed hiking, weekends at mountain cabins and experiencing the beautiful splendor of nature. They thoroughly enjoyed simply spending time with one another and were best friends. Ken was preceded in death by his late parents Robert and Meredyth Lobb and his late grandparents Cyril and Margaret Lobb (paternal), and Roy and Mildred Oskins (maternal). He was taken on July 19, 2011 at his home in Castle Rock. He is survived by his sister Robin, nephew Phillip McCarty and his daughters Keelin and Hayden, and aunts Hilma Lobb and Elizabeth Chandler, cousins William Lobb, Douglas Lobb and Jan Millage. Due to the kindness, honesty, sincerity and Love that Ken led his life by, he leaves us in great sorrow, longing for one more day with him. We all wish for one more handsome smile or one more chance to hear his gentle voice as we endure our time here on earth. Kenneth Lobb, You are terribly missed and we eagerly await our reunion with you in Heaven. Please share your memories of Ken and condolences with his family by signing the Guestbook.
