Kenneth W. Stein

Ken, 85, passed away December 18, 2013. Father of Michael R. Stein and Valerie I. Stein; grandfather of Kenneth, Peter and Merrick Stein; and brother of Phyllis M. Gosnell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lucille. He pitched to many Hall of Fame Baseball greats during his years on Nebraska Farm Teams. Before he proudly served in the US Navy during WWII, he attended college in Sioux Falls, SD majoring in pre-med. After the war he moved to Denver where he met and married Lucille. They were happily married for 58 years before she passed away in June, 2011. He founded and operated many local business including a successful tire and wheel store, an accounting and tax practice, and a trucking business. His mathematical wizardry was experienced by many people whom he helped overcome trying circumstances. He will be missed by many who thought of him as ""dad"" or ""grandpa"".
