Kenneth Tomlon

May 9, 1943 — May 17, 2007

Kenneth Tomlon, 64, of Aurora, Colorado. Born on Mother's Day, May 9, 1943 in Berwyn, Ill. After a lengthy battle with prostate cancer, he died on the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord, May 17th. He attended St. Blase Elementary School and Argo High School, both in Argo, Ill. He received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Arizona where he met his wife Sheralyn. After graduating from college and completing ROTC he performed a tour of duty as 1st Lieutenant during the Vietnam War. Ken completed his Masters in Health Administration at the University of Colorado. He served as an executive level health care administrator for more than 30 years, 18 of which were in Catholic health care; receiving a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheralyn of 42 years; children, Kenneth Eric (Bobi), Kristine (Andrew), Kimberly and Sara (Trask); grandchildren, Jaden, Hailey, Nicholas, Jack, Jaxon and Rylee; parents, Anthony and Frances; sisters, Barbara and Sandra; brother-in-law Lennart (Sally); sister-in-law, Julie; and numerous other relatives and loving friends. Rosary, Tuesday, 7:00PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Rd. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 9:00AM, Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 18000 E. Arapahoe Rd. Interment, Fort Logan National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the church (80016) or Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth St., Santa Monica, CA 90401. Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son and Brother; he will also be known as a tremendously caring man who always aspired to see that Catholic health care was delivered in a manner consistent with the missions of the sponsoring congregations. The three priorities in Ken's life were family, faith, and career.
