Kerrin W Schultz, 62 years old, quietly passed in her sleep at her home on February 15, 2019.
Kerrin was born on June 18, 1956 in Sacramento California, she moved to Aurora Colorado soon after and has been a native ever since. Kerrin had beyond a full and happy life, she was a waitress (twice), commercial fisherman, stay at home mom until our third child started school fulltime, carpet helper with the family business, Security at Cherry School District and for the last 14 years she worked at Arapahoe County as a Kinship Navigator bringing families together. In 1992 we assumed a loan on a house in the Parkview neighborhood, right away we reached out to the Aurora Youth League to get all three of our children in sports, it was soccer, football, basketball, baseball and cheerleading. It was year-round sports, we loved it! Kerrin went from watching her children play, to becoming a team mom, to being on the board of the Rams and then the Aurora Youth League, she helped kids get registered and ""geared"" up. Soon it was time to enjoy watching our children play sports at the high school level, we are proud to say that Donovan and Derrick got basketball scholarships and earned college degrees, Derrick earning his Masters. Kelsey is close to completing her bachelor's degree. Kerrin was so proud! Kerrin's love of life were her children, her grandchildren, her husband Doug (who she met in 1972), family and her hundreds of friends. Kerrin loved to travel, watch sports, eat, help people and laugh. She had a great sense of humor and a huge heart.
Survivors include, her husband Douglas J Schultz of 34 years, her daughter Kelsey Schultz-Murdock, her sons Donovan and Derrick Schultz, and her grandchildren James, Kylah and Cameron. Also, her son in law James Murdock, her sisters Keira Zapien and Kenna Rockey she was preceded in death by her dad Wesley Williams, her mom Lorraine Jardine-Williams, her sister Diane Spence, and her brother Wesley Williams.
Kerrin's family is heartbroken as we are sure all of you are, she had more life in her, there was more in the tank, but her heart had other plans. We love her, we miss her, and we hope she is in a better place. We love you Kerrin, may God guide you.
Services will be held at 12pm, on March 2, 2019 at her childhood family Church St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1 Del Mar Cir, Aurora CO 80011.
