Kevin M. Frie

Born on July 28, 1938 in St. Cloud, MN, Kevin is the 2nd oldest of 5 children. Kevin and Barbara attended high school together, though they never really connected then. In 1956, Kevin enlisted in the United States Air Force for 4 years as an E3 Airman First Class, where he learned to work on the first real computer systems and electronic equipment. He graduated in 1960 from Saint Cloud State University with a degree in Business Administration. Kevin crossed paths with Barbara again in her Father's tavern where he frequented quite often. He was swept off his feet by her charm and they were married December 29, 1962. Over the next five years, Kevin & Barbara had four sons, Ross, Kent, Randy and Kyle. He work for Pitney Bowes for 25 years as a branch manager and his job required him to make many successive relocations across the country. His family lived in Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin and Texas. His constant relocation of his family allowed him to touch the lives of many people throughout the years. In 1993, he retired from Pitney Bowes, and entered his definition of a ""life of leisure"". Never fully retiring, Kevin worked in various sales positions. He enjoyed the thrill and challenges of making sales. In 2000, Barbara and Kevin moved to Colorado Springs, CO so that they could be closer to their grandchildren. Kevin enjoyed sporting events and encouraged his sons and grandchildren to participate in team sports. Kevin believed that sports participation instilled the discipline and teamwork that would benefit his sons and grandchildren throughout their lives. Kevin enjoyed CO and loved to take trips to Cripple Creek and was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren. Kevin left this earth peacefully on March 1, 2009 and will be missed terribly. Kevin is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara; sons Ross (Kellie), Kent (Pamela), Randy (Tonya), Kyle (Sherri); grandchildren Michael, Lauren, Nathan, Cody, Travis, Zachary, Amber, Ethan, Owen, Madisen & Tristan; sisters Jacqueline Reisinger, Kathy (Les) Lee, Sandy (Ron) Hurd; brother Dan (Joan); and mastered by ""Coco"" the CAT.
