Kevin Joseph Stransky

Kevin Joseph Stransky, age 68, died from a sudden illness at home on January 7, 2017 in Parker, Colorado. Kevin was born on September 24, 1948 in Denver, Colorado. His parents were Frank B. ""Bluey"" Stransky and Constance A. Stransky. He grew up in Casper, Wyoming. He was Baptized, Confirmed and received his First Holy Communion at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He also attended middle and high school at St. Anthony's School. He attended Canon City Boys Abby in Colorado and graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, WY in 1967. He graduated from Casper College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and History in 1973 from the University of Wyoming. He married Lynda Klungness on August 14, 1971 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Casper, WY. After school, Kevin and his wife moved back to Casper where he partnered in business with his Dad at S&S Distributing Co. He worked for several businesses including Fair Deal Pawn Shop and Depend-A-Pawn Shop. He also owned Chic-A-D in the Food Court at the Eastridge Mall. In 2003, he moved to Parker, CO with his wife and was currently working at Fast Cash Pawn. Kevin was a devoted and dedicated family man. He spent every free moment with his family, particularly his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Denver Broncos. A favorite activity was camping and 4th of July fireworks. He was a selfless man who helped family and friends whenever and wherever there was a need and he would do anything for anyone. Kevin is survived by beloved wife, Lynda S. Stransky; Children, Lisa Anne Stransky, Sara Lynne (Brian) Sutton, Nathan Joseph Stransky, and Eric Lane (Tiffani) Stransky; Grandchildren Kylie, Kaitlyn, Riley, Kyra, Hayden, Tyler, Harlie, Hailey, Caden , Cody, and Kaycee; Nieces & Nephews Christopher (Nora) McCarthy, Stefanie (Travis) Wickwire, Jessica (Kyle) Bachus, Brandon (Amy) Klungness, Brianna Klungness, Tayler Klungness, Emma Klungness; and other loving family members, Mother-in-Law Shirley Klungness (the late Byron Klungness); Leanne McCarthy (the late Jerry McCarthy), and Lane Klungness (Christy). He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kathryn Mary Stransky. In Colorado, a Visitation for friends and family will be held in Kevin's memory on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. A Funeral Service will be held the following day on January 13, 2017 at 10:00AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. Services for Kevin will also take place in Casper, Wyoming at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. A Rosary will be Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 7pm with Mass on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society Colorado/Wyoming, Wyoming American Diabetes Association, Casper Humane Society and Dolls for Daughters (Denver, CO).
