Kimberly Ann Nelson

November 29, 1963 — February 25, 2011

1963-2011 My Lover and Friend for over 30 years lost her long battle with ALS on February 25, 2011. Kimberly Ann Tederick Nelson was born November 29, 1963 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Francis Martin and Cheryl Ann (Turner) Tederick. She grew up and attended school in northern Virginia and graduated from George C. Marshall High School in 1981 and went on to graduate from Northern Virginia Community College in 1983. Kim worked as a Para-Legal and later for Kemper Insurance as a claims adjuster where she had a long successful career. Kim's main passion in her life was her children. She truly loved being a mother and dedicated her life to her family. She made a point to get involved and served as a Girl Scout leader for many years and was the volunteer Coordinator at her daughter Olivia's school. Kim also volunteered as a CASA case worker, where she helped deprived children. Kim married Wade R. Nelson on April 21, 1985 in Vienna, Virginia where their three beautiful children were born. Wade worked for Western Union and was transferred to Colorado in October of 1998. Kim was a very spiritual person, who was full of optimism, hope and love. We will miss her so very much. Kim is survived by her husband Wade, children, Steven W. Nelson, Michael W. Nelson and Olivia A. Nelson. Also surviving are her mother Cheryl A. Tederick of Falling Waters, W.Va., brother Keith M. Tederick of Centerville, Va. and her grandmother Lucy Turner of Winchester, Va.
