Kimberly Katherine Post

Kimberly Katherine Post, a 63-year-old native Coloradan and lover of the mountains, entered her eternal rest on August 14, 2023 after a battle with ovarian cancer that began in January 2022.  Kim is survived by her two loving children, Logan Small and Lindsay McKittrick, her grandson, Augustine McKittrick, her partner, Alan Robinson, and her seven siblings. She was born in Denver, Colorado on February 26, 1960, to parents Arnold Earl Post and Isabel Mary Post and attended Thornton High School, graduating with the class of 1978. While growing up in the Mile High City, Kim quickly developed a strong passion for the Rocky Mountains and the Denver Broncos. She grew into a brilliant, loving, and thoughtful woman with a magnetic personality.

As an adult, Kim's passion became her two beautiful children, Logan and Lindsay. She instilled in them her strong values of kindness, integrity, and hard work. Kim was an amazing mother, who worked tirelessly to provide her children with every opportunity. Cooking the most delicious family recipes, attending every cross country meet and military ceremony, and providing a loving, warm environment to call home. Kim extended her love to her new favorite person, her grandson Augustine (aka her "big guy"), who became Kim's never-ending source of joy.

Kim had an adventurous spirit, someone who enjoyed getting lost in the mountains and traveling the country. Alongside her partner, Al, she loved taking their camper into the wild Rockies or riding the jeep through the Great Sand Dunes. When not outdoors, you could find Kim enjoying a concert at Red Rocks, sipping a beer at a micro-brewery, cheering on the Denver Broncos, reading a book, or spending time with friends and family. She had a passion for her work as an Executive Assistant and always ensured others were taken care of, often putting their needs above her own. Her smile, kindness, and tenacity for life will be missed.

Kim's family will greet friends and family at a Visitation on Monday, August 28, 2023 beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tues., August 29, 2023 at 10:30AM at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 6673 West Chatfield Avenue, Littleton, Colorado.
