Kirby Cockerham, age 87, of Greenwood Village. Husband of Mary Eleanor. Father of Rebecca (William) Campbell, Catherine (Glen) Hilker, Amanda (Joseph) Ladika, Carrie (Jonathan Degenhardt) Cockerham. Grandfather of Marissa, Alexandra, Landon, Michael, Colin. Step grandchildren Ryan, Anna. Brother of Walter. Kirby served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He graduated from LSU with a master's in geology. His many interests included sailing, skiing, running, hiking, traveling, and painting. Above all else, he was devoted to his family. Funeral service Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10:30am, Christ Episcopal Church, 2950 S. University Blvd., Denver, 80210. Interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
