Kristen Kay Radochonski

Kristen Kay Radochonski, a loving angel of God, passed away January 30, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. Born February 26, 1969 in Boulder, Colorado, the daughter of Vernon and Janis Schoep. Sister to brothers David, Charles and Martin. Kristen attended Fairview High School in Boulder, and Colorado State University in Fort Collins where she majored in Social Work, and met husband Bernie. Kristen and Bernie married in 1993; and for several years Kristen displayed her selfless grace by caring for those afflicted with Alzheimer’s. Kristen and Bernie moved to Highlands Ranch in 1998, where she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. They had two beautiful children, Haley and Joseph. Haley currently attends the University of Denver, and Joseph will join her in the fall.

Kristen shared with Bernie and others that her greatest accomplishment was raising Haley and Joseph. She taught them the importance of being selfless, understanding, compassionate, joyful, and to love and care for one another. Kristen was a “Mama Bear” in every sense, and Haley and Joseph are the lights of her life. Kristen also wanted her family to know how much she loves them, and that she will be their guardian angel for eternity.

Kristen touched so many lives during her time with us. Whether as the Director of Community Bible Study, her tireless volunteer work, or as a friend. Her intentions were sincere and innocent; and rooted in her strong faith. She blessed us with her smile, love, and presence. Kristen will be missed by everyone.

Kristen is survived by Bernie, Haley, Joseph, Vernon, David, Charles and Martin.

Services to be held at Mountainview Christian Church, 40 E. Highlands Ranch Parkway, Highlands Ranch, Colorado at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9.
