Kurt F.G. Jafay of Denver, Colorado and La Jolla, California. Kurt Jafay, known all over the world for his master portraits of thousands of people from Miss Americas to President Eisenhower, Vice-President Humphrey and many other notable politicians and celebrities. Kurt was born in Berlin, Germany and came to America at the age of 20, with only his camera and a trunk. Over the years he further developed his talent to become one of the greatest photographers in the world. Photography was his passion, his hobby, his art, his true love. Every image had a quality, look and feel that only a Jafay photograph could have. He was one of the few in his field who mastered every aspect of photography and could take an image from film to canvas. After his discharge from the army, where he set up many of the rehab programs at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital for the returning GI's, Kurt made Denver his home. He thought Denver was the greatest place and commenced to build his career in photography and real estate. His contribution in real estate was his vision of Cherry Creek area of Denver. As a person Kurt had it all. People were drawn to his charisma, intelligence, movie star looks, sparkling blue eyes and the ever ready sense of humor. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word and his elegance raised the bar for all of us. He appreciated the finest in life.
