Kurtis Lee Charmichael

Kurtis Lee Charmichael was born November 17, 1966 to Richard and Maria Charmichael and brother Kevin Peter Charmichael in Westminster, Colorado. The family then moved to Arvada, Colorado in 1972 where they remain to this day. Kurt attended schools in Arvada and went on to graduate from Arvada High School. After high school, he attended Colorado AeroTech where he became an FCC licensed airplane mechanic. His first job was with Continental Airlines where he stayed for a short period of time before joining the American Airlines team where he remained employed until his untimely death on July 11, 2014. Kurt enjoyed many things in life but he mostly enjoyed water sports, hiking, biking, skiing, camping and all things outdoors with his two sons, Devon and Dillon, from his first marriage with Trina Haggard and his current wife, Angie Charmichael and son Landon. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Mary Charmichael; his children Samantha, Devon, Dillon and Landon; his brother Kevin Charmichael (Victoria) and their children Skyla (Joseph) Ashley, Jamie Christopher and Levi; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His cremated remains will be scattered over the mountains which he loved so well, as well as interred next to his mother and father at Mackey Methodist Cemetery in Boone County, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00a.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue in Arvada, Colorado followed by a Reception at the same location.
