Born in Axtell, Nebraska, raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Omaha Technical High School. Lanette worked at the Omaha Crockery. She married Bernard May 18, 1947 and moved to Denver. Her favorite charities were Little Dresses for Africa, Hands All Around Quilting, and Wounded Warriors Project. Survived by sister Robetta Hailicka Gatewood; sons Gary (Susan Doherty) and Karl (Sheryl). Preceded in death by husband Bernard; sisters Elvera Torrison, Nancy Swanson; brother Wesley "Bud" Anderson.
