Larry Eugene Bock, 70, passed away August 26, 2014 at his home in Thornton, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 7, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Eugene and Anna Busselberg Bock. Larry was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School. After graduation, his family moved to Northglenn, Colorado. Larry served a mission in Germany for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. When Larry got off the train coming home, he was met by the Army recruiter with his draft papers. He served for two years in Korea for the 7th Infantry Division. In 1968, Larry worked as a private investigator for a car insurance firm. Larry met his wife, Alison at a church activity. They were later married for time and all eternity, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 24, 1970. At that time, he worked at a food brokerage firm. After the children were born, he decided to change his occupation in order to spend more time with his family. He began his work as a custodian for the LDS Church where he worked for 34 years. He served in many callings in the LDS Church. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family. He made sure to support his children in all of their many activities and school functions, with great sacrifice. He enjoyed participating and watching many different sports. Larry was a big fan of the Milwaukee/ Atlanta Braves and Denver area sports teams. Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Alison Read Toth Bock; children, Mihaly Bock (wife, Celeste Wilbur); Mischa Bock(wife, Rachel Cartwright); Marya Mosley (husband, David) ; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Briana, Micah, Elizabeth, Kendra, Jerran, Callie and Daniel. Larry was preceded in death by an infant son, Micah; and siblings, Dolores Brown & Deane Nelson. Funeral services for Larry will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 11:00am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 East Malley Drive, Northglenn, CO. 80233. A viewing will be held at the Church prior to the service from 10:00am-10:45am. Burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, at 1:30pm, Area B. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in Larry's name to your individual Church, to benefit those in need.
