Larry W. Dudley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, has passed into to God’s eternal kingdom.
Dad was born and raised in Paris, Illinois, attended Paris High School, and served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force before attending Washington University, where he earned a degree in engineering. In 1969, Wayne married the love of his life, Margaret, and had 3 loving children, who stand today as testaments of his love and devotion. In 1980, he moved the family to Colorado to be near the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Dad led an exciting career highlighted by work in the U.S. Space program, the railroad, and as a computer programmer. But the true highlight of his life is his family, who he loved above all else. Dad was a selfless, hard-working, and devoted man; always putting the needs of others before his own. He had an exceptional sense of humor, knew how to make us laugh, and did not take life too seriously. Dad was also active for many years in his church, St. Michael the Archangel, where he was involved in lots of parish activities and ministries for betterment of the community.
Dad was our rock. He was full of life, and we will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret, of Aurora, son Eric, of Aurora, daughter Rena of Littleton, son Mark, of Manhattan, KS, grandsons Cole, Brian, and Christian, as well as granddaughters Alexis and Kaitlyn.
