Larry Dwayne Ellis

Larry D Ellis, 63, born in Wichita KS, died at home in Thornton, Colorado on April 20, 2019 of natural causes.

He was the owner of Sequoyah Contracting, operating in the Denver area; a founding member and a former Tournament Director of Rocky Mountain Silver Stick Association, an international youth ice hockey tournament; and a former council member of the Colorado Cherokee Circle. Larry was an outdoorsman, an avid fly fisherman, and hunter. As an athlete and sports enthusiast, he cherished being a part of his grand children's sports activities.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Cheryl Lynn Ellis, Thornton, CO; daughter, Laura Jean Milani of Thornton, CO; son, Laron Ellis of Central City, CO; stepson, Donald Howbert of Thornton, CO; parents, Jack and Jean Ellis of Wichita, KS; sisters, Gay Jacobs (Bond) of Montrose, CO and Pam Satterfield (Dennis) of Sanger, TX; and six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Memorial Service will be Monday, April 29, 2019, 11am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton.
