The Rev. Dr. Larry Kent Graham died at home Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 after an 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 75. Larry was born January 8, 1942 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Leon Howard Graham and Kathleen Sandlin Graham. A Professor Emeritus of Pastoral Theology and Care at Iliff School of Theology, Dr. Graham was a leader in his field, an inspired teacher who influenced generations of students, a trusted colleague and friend and a tireless worker for social justice. Dr. Graham earned his A.B. in 1965 from Upsala College in East Orange N.J. and his master's of divinity from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. in 1970. He was awarded a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1978 and was an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. He was a faculty member at Iliff School of Theology from 1977 to his retirement in 2014. During his tenure, Dr. Graham served as Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs and director of the Iliff/University of Denver Joint Ph.D. Program for Religious and Theological Studies. His publications have individually and collectively worked to expand the horizons of pastoral theology and care. His last book, ""Moral Injury: Restoring Wounded Souls"" was published in July 2017. Dr. Graham's family was the center of his life. He is survived by Dr. Sheila Greeve Davaney, his spouse of 33 years. Dr. Davaney was his colleague at Iliff School of Theology, his thought partner and his dearest friend. He is also survived by his sister Judy Kraft, and his children Ann Renee Graham, Megan Endicott Graham, Peter Laurence Davaney-Graham and his wife, Amanda Whitney Graham, and Emily Helen Davaney-Graham. Dr. Graham's grandchildren are Shanan Ashleigh Bennett, Zachary James Adams, Sarah Michelle Adams, Eno Graham Ulshafer, Cloe Graham Ulshafer and Riley Rose Graham. He has five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at First Plymouth Congregational Church, 3501 S.
