Larry L. Kompus

Dr. Larry L. Kompus, 75, of Thornton, CO, passed away on June 20, 2013. Born March 25, 1938, in Herndon, KS, to Margie (Berger) and Francis Kompus, Larry lived on his family's farm and attended a one-room school house. In 1956, he graduated from Herndon High School. In 1960, Larry married Berniece Barenberg and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas. In 1964, Larry graduated from KU Medical School and began his psychiatric residency. In 1968, he entered active service in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Larry entered into private practice. Larry is survived by his wife, Berniece Kompus; daughter Cyndi (Walter) Bradley, of Thornton, CO; son, Darryl (Leah) Kompus, of Beverly Hills, MI; grandchildren, Nathan and Claire Bradley, and Chris and Lizzie Kompus; sister, Donna LeSage, of Salina, KS; brother, Dick Kompus, of Rexford, KS; and many loving and caring sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Rosary is Monday, July 1, 2:00PM, followed by Funeral Mass, 2:30PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO. Memorial donations may be made to NAMI Colorado, 2280 S.
