Laura Irene Mace-Stiger

""Irene"", Lt. Col. (Ret. USAF), age 84, died peacefully after battling Parkinson's on February 23, 2011. She served in the European and Asian Theaters, was a flight nurse and worked at the Pentagon. Irene taught nursing after retiring from the Air Force at Pima Medical College. She enjoyed traveling with her family and raising her Yorkie puppies. Irene was the beloved wife of Clarence Stiger, Jr.; mother of Julie Stiger; grandmother of Christina Stiger; and aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado. Interment follows at 1:30 p.m., at Fort Logan National Cemetery ~ Pavilion ""B"", 3698 South Sherican Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado.
