Laura Gerard McDermott, 32 of Denver, Colorado was struck and killed by a hit and run driver on September 23, 2012. Laura, a graduate of the College of Charleston, SC had worked ias an esthetician in Denver at the Eden Spa for the last few years. Laura was a happy fun person who brought smiles to the faces of all who knew her. Her family called her the ""Joy Bringer"". Laura is survived by her parents Ellie and Gerry McDermott of Roanoke, VA, her sister Meredith Warren, brother-in-law Parker Warren and infant niece Etta of Charlotte, NC. Laura is also survived by her fiance Nate Iler of Denver. A Prayer Service will be held Friday, 3PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Blvd. A reception for family and friends will follow.
