Laura Gay Wagner died Sept 19th 2009 at her home in Denver, Colorado at the age of 72. She was born August 30th, 1937 in Crawford, Nebraska, along with sister Louise Kay, the daughter of Fred and Adah Teets. Laura grew up in Crawford and graduated from Natrona High School in 1955 and attended Casper College. On December 8th, 1957 she married Wilbur Wagner of McCook, Nebraska and enjoyed 51 1/2 wonderful years of marriage. Laura worked for Mountain States Telephone Company where she met her husband, then would later work for and retire from the Mapleton Public School District after 13 years of service. Laura enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing the organ, singing, reading, traveling, and most importantly spending quality time with her family. Laura's main hobby was quilting, in which her craftsmanship and dedication was evident. She made her first quilt in 1989 and went on to complete over 20 quilts and numerous wall hangings. She enjoyed Crossword, Kakuro, and Sudoku puzzles. She spent endless hours volunteering her time with the Telephone Pioneers Group where she made teddy bears, heart pillows, and layettes & isollette covers for premature babies. She was kind, caring, compassionate and made friends wherever she went. However, the real love of her life was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Adah and Fred Teets; brother Rod; and brother-in-law Tom Teter. She is survived by her loving husband Wilbur, son Glen, daughter Joyce and son-in-law Greg, sister Louise Kay Teter, brother Rex Teets (Joni), numerous brother and sister-in laws, nephews, nieces, and many family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she so passionately touched. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their love, support, prayers, beautiful flowers, meals, and the time spent with our loving mother and wife. All of you have touched our hearts in many ways and we are forever grateful '"" Wilbur, Glen, Joyce and Greg.
