It is with our deepest regret that we are announcing the passing of our lovely Lauren Elizabeth Mumaugh. Lauren passed peacefully in her sleep at her beloved home in Denver on March 30th, 2022.
The awful news of Lauren’s sudden and unexpected passing has hurt us all deeply. Lauren was a ball of energy, emotion, creativity, passion and above all, Lauren was fun. Lauren’s boundless love for her family will live on forever in each of us. Those who know Lauren, her family and her friends, know how much she loved everyone. Lauren had so many passions and at the top of her list was always family followed closely by pets, books, movies, music, travel and being in the Colorado outdoors. One way to remember Lauren, to carry a little bit of her energy and love of life with you, is this—whenever you are stressed or sad remember to call your mom or dad, call your sister or brother, send flowers for no reason, say hello to a stranger, be grateful for the small things and always remember that you can make someone else’s day better because you showed them a little bit of love. You will be happy you did.
Lauren was adored by her wonderful mother Jody Mumaugh, her loving father Brian Mumaugh, her oldest brother Andrew Mumaugh, her little brother Danny Mumaugh, her older sister Ashley (Mumaugh) Gorham, and her brother-in-law Dave Gorham. The one-and-only “Auntie Lauren” was loved by her amazing niece Heidi Lauren Gorham, who was named after her, her nephew Russell John Gorham, her littlest niece Layla Ann Gorham and her new baby nephew coming in July, Lauren’s grandmother Betty Niemann, her large extended family, and her “fur babies,” Lenny and Jellybean.
We are holding a funeral mass and celebration of beautiful Lauren’s life at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at 19099 E. Floyd Ave, Aurora CO, 80013, on Monday, April the 11th at 10:30 AM, open to all. Dress like springtime in bright colors, Lauren would have said no black unless you have nothing else.
There will be a gathering at the Mumaugh home following, at 15721 E. Progress Drive, Centennial CO 80015.
