Laurene Kenney died peacefully on May 5, 2016 at the age of 91, with loving family members at her side. She was born March 3, 1925 in Denver, the youngest of three children, to Murton and Stella Willson. She graduated from South High School in 1942, and married her husband Robert Kenney (Bob) in 1946. The couple built a home at the corner of Franklin and Louisiana, and Laurie lived there for 60 years, until she moved to Sunrise Senior Living in 2015. After rearing hers, Laurie worked for Fashion Bar until retiring in 1990. She was active in the St. Michael's Altar Guild and her P.E.O chapter. Laurie is survived by her children: Stephen (Maryann), Diane Sulsona (John), Suzanne, and Andrew (Sherry). She was the beloved grandmother of Kathleen, Kristine, and Lauren, and great-grandmother to Eliana, Mateo, and Cooper. Laurie was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Murton, and her sister, Julie. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at St. Michael and All Angels' Episcopal Church, located at 1400 South University Boulevard, with a reception to follow.
