Laurice T. ""Bud"" Hall, 82, of Lakewood, CO passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010. Laurice was born May 8, 1928, in Buffalo, NY, to Laurice W. and Martha (Tiffany) Hall, who preceded him in death. On September 10, 1950, he married Roberta ""Bert"" Cunningham in Greeley, CO. Laurice, better known as ""Bud"", was a passionate man devoted to family, friends and his profession. Through his many relations in the Club Management community he was well known and thought of locally and nationally as a legend in his field. Bud was proud of being an Eagle Scout. Bud honorably served in the United States Army from 1946-1948. He received a BSBA degree from the University of Denver in 1951 and graduated from Michigan State University Graduate program in 1952. He was the Director and General Manager of Pinehurst Country Club in Denver from 1959-1996. Bud was a member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) since 1954; National President of CMAA in 1972; Michigan State University Alumnus of the Year in 1974, CMAA Club Manager of the Year in 1985 and Master Club Manager (MCM) in 1996 just to highlight some of his accomplishments. Bud was a loving husband, father, ""Bampi"" and tremendous friend to many. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Bert; brother Don (Barb) Hall; sister Joanne (John) Lock; children Bill (Collette) Hall, Debbie (Keith) Martin, and Brian (Susan) Hall; granddaughters, Halie and Hannah Hall, Kendra and Aubrey Martin, Tiffany and Lexie Hall. Celebration of Life Service, Thursday, June 17, 2010, 3:00 pm, at Bear Creek Church, 3101 S. Kipling St., Lakewood, CO 80227, with Pastor Rick Richter officiating. A reception will follow at 4:00pm to commemorate and reflect on his life at Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 W. Quincy Ave., Lakewood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
