May 17, 1915 — July 1, 2008

Lawrence H. Kaiser, born on May 17, 1915, in Yankton, SD, entered into his eternal rest on July 1, 2008. He had said fond farewells to family and friends, during his brief period of excellent care under the Denver Hospice and Hope @ Home staff. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Larry was the dedicated husband of Lucille I. (Brehio), whom he met aboard ship, as they returned to the States from duty in the South Pacific, in 1945. They were married in Fort Sill, OK and settled in Denver, where he and his beautiful ""Chilia"" raised their six children, Elizabeth Kan, Milford, CT; Father Lawrence Kaiser, pastor of Guardian Angels Church in Denver; Joanne Jonell (Jim) of Arvada; Ken Kaiser (Lavonne) of Highlands Ranch; Karen Filkins (Tim) of Lake Oswego, OR; and Jon Kaiser (Alice) of Denver. He was the devoted grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Last farewells can be expressed at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W 80th Ave., today from 5:30-6:30pm, followed by a Rosary at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass, Thursday, 10am, followed by Entombment at Mount Olivet. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be given to Guardian Angels School, or Llamba African Mission c-o Spirit of Christ.
