Larry McCabe, 79, of Denver, Colorado. Born August 9, 1925 in Newport, Kentucky. At 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy and fought in the Pacific during WWII. After his service in the U.S. Navy, he joined the United States Army, commissioned as a lieutenant and later became a captain. Following his service in the military, he became a high school teacher for a number of years. He then joined the Federal Civil Service and traveled the world with his family until he retired in 1980. He joins his wife, Alice McCabe, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his two children, Lawrence J. (Susan) McCabe, Jr. and Cynthia Jean (Mark Pitchford) McCabe; and grandchildren, Nicole and Michael McCabe. Funeral Mass, Monday 10:00am, Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan St., Denver, Colorado. Committal service will be held at a later date in Davis, California.
