Lawrence Noyes

March 23, 1941 — September 19, 2024

Lawrence “Larry” Campbell Noyes, 83, of Parker, CO passed away on September 19, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1941 to Janet (Mudge) and Oscar Noyes in Lynn, MA. He grew up in Marblehead, MA and Cape Elizabeth, ME. He eventually settled in Framingham, MA where he spent most of his life. In 2008 Larry and Barbara relocated to Parker, CO to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Larry attended school in Marblehead before the family moved to Cape Elizabeth. He graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School and Middlebury College. He later received a MBA from Suffolk University. He also served in the Army Reserves. Larry spent many years working for Prudential in Boston before brief tenures with Cullinet and Blue Cross/Blue Shield, eventually settling at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, from where he retired. Larry met his wife Barbara at Prudential in 1966. They married in 1969, settled in Framingham, and had two daughters. 

Larry was a great brother, loving husband, and devoted dad. He always made time to be with his daughters whether playing in the yard, going on walks/hikes, swimming/boating, playing games. He has passed on his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren. Larry was always known for his “dad” jokes. Family time was always priority for Larry and this is his legacy that lives on in his children and grandchildren.

Larry was very giving outside his family as well. He was always very caring. He had many close friends going back as far as his childhood and maintained those relationships throughout his life. He engaged with various charities throughout his life as well. Larry was a natural athlete. He participated in track, football, basketball and held a long jump record in Maine for a while. Larry enjoyed running for many years and even completed the Boston Peace Marathon. He was an avid reader and gardener. He loved to travel with his wife and his family and enjoyed places such as Ireland, Canada, England, and France as well as many road trips throughout the United States. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Murphy) Noyes, daughter Liz Noyes, daughter Heather McCrary and son-in-law Bryan McCrary, grandsons Declan, Braden, and Liam; sister Martha Noyes and brother-in-law Jerry Greene; niece Holly Noyes, nephew Chris Noyes, sister-in-law Lucy Noyes, sister-in-law Roberta Buser and brother-in-law Wayne Buser; niece Lesley Buser Bauer, nephew-in-law Dan Bauer, great niece Gracie Mae Bauer, and Andrew McCoy. He is preceded in death by his parents Janet and Oscar Noyes and his brother Peter Noyes.

A memorial service will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2pm (5303 E County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122) with reception immediately following.
