Lawrence F. Zant

Lawrence F. Zant, 88, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on May 15, 2011. He was also a resident of Garden City, Kansas for over 25 years. Lawrence was born on February 18, 1923 in Seattle, Washington to Lawrence and Jessie Zant. During his 25+ years in Garden City, he was active in the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Director of the Liberal Air Museum, M.C. for Garden City Municipal Band concerts, instructor of English as a Second Language at GCCC, and the foster dad of several dogs. After having served during World War II, Lawrence retired as a Major form the US Army. Lawrence was also a Registered Representative in the New York Stock Exchange. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, his daughter, Carol Ann, and his sister, Ruth. He is survived by his children, Lawrence and Laurie, as well as two grandchildren. Memorial Service on Saturday, June 25, at The Presbyterian Church, 1719 Texas Street, Garden City, Kansas. Committal at Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Fort Dodge.
