Lawrence Hayden Bromfield, age 77, died peacefully on February 22, 2022. Larry was born August 18, 1944 to Meredith Churchill Bromfield and Carol Elizabeth Hayden in Denver, Colorado. A lifelong Coloradan, he attended Colorado Academy and ultimately received his diploma from George Washington high school. While working for a bank, he met Charlotte Jane Cleveringa whom he later married on December 6th, 1969.
Larry owned and operated a landscape architecture and a construction management company, both of which he ran successfully for 30 years prior to retiring. He was extremely gregarious and an avid outdoorsman. On weekends, he could often be found using his homemade gear to fly fish with his friends and family. To Larry, family always came first and no one was a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, his three children, Erick, Deborah, and Alexander, and two grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua. He is also survived by his brother Meredith “Brom”, several nieces and nephews, and innumerable friends.
Funeral services will be held at Horan & McConaty chapel on March 5th at 11 a.m. at 5303 East County Line Road. A gathering and celebration of Larry’s life will follow the service at his home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association, Rocky Mountain Area.
