Lee J. Janke, 61, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born on January 29, 1955 in Bay City and grew up on his family's farm near Sebewaingâthe son of the late Edward and Norma (Pommerenke) Janke. He moved to Colorado in 1980 and lived there until his death. Lee was an information technology project management professional. He graduated from Owen-Gage High School in 1973 and Ferris State University in 1977. He loved music and playing the guitar, reading, playing golf and watching sports. He loved all things Michigan. Lee is survived by his wife, Heather Durham, brothers Mark and wife MaryAnn, Alan and wife Kathleen, sister Jill (Janke) Sheldon and husband Wayne. Also, nieces Emma Sheldon, Ashley, Alexis, Kaitlyn and Kasey Janke, nephew Eric and wife Tasha, great-niece Alyvia and great-nephew Mason. Cremation will take place on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Horan & McConaty in Denver, Colorado. A memorial gathering will be held in Sebewaing, Michigan at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 09, at the VFW on 265 West Bay Street.
