Lee Henry Kerchner

Lee Henry Kerchner, age 88 of Aurora CO died unexpectedly Sunday May 10th. Lee was a decorated Navy Veteran stationed in the Philippines during World War II. Lee's professional career spanned over 30 years in the Aerospace Industry. Lee retired from Woodward Governor Company, Loves Park, IL in 1983.Predeceased by his wife Helen Bennett Kerchner and brother Harold, Lee is survived by two sisters, Donna Garrison of Wiseman, AR and Carol Garrison of Sun City, AZ.Lee has three children: Linda Furland of Rochelle, IL, Darla Hooker of Aurora, CO, and Robert Kerchner of Spring, TX.Grandchildren are Jeff Bjorneby, Barb Powers, Jami Walden, and Sean Hooker. His great-grandson is Jacob Bjorneby.Visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014 Thursday May 14th from 5 to 7 PM.Funeral services will be held Friday May 15th at 10 AM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15625 E. Iliff Ave. Aurora, CO 80013 and will be followed by a light lunch. Internment will follow at 1 PM in Fort Logan National Cemetery with military honors. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given in Lee's name to All Saints Lutheran.
