Leila Ann Gibson

Leila Ann Gibson, 72, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2025, at her home in Denver, Colorado, after a long battle with cancer. Her son, Chris Gibson, and her dear friend, Cindy Sutherland, held her hands until her final moment.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Leila was the daughter of Herbert and Gladys Sutterlin. She led a remarkable and successful career across various fields including Telecommunications, Real Estate, and Kitchen Design.

Leila's passions extended beyond her professional life; she had a deep love for gardening, traveling, and possessed an extraordinary talent for renovating and fixing up homes. She enjoyed volunteering at the elementary school where she helped children learn to read.

She lived in Payson, Arizona and enjoyed a cabin in Christopher Creek. She moved back to Colorado and purchased her last home July of 2019 in Denver. She loved her quaint home, wonderful neighbors, the Botanical Gardens and all that Denver had to offer.

Leila is survived by her son, Chris Gibson, his wife Magali, and their daughter Montse. Daughter, Lindsey Vanneman, her husband Mitch, and their daughter Winnie.

Leila's final resting place will be at Bear Canon Cemetery in Sedalia, Colorado, where her memory will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.
