b. August 17, 1928

Maria Deliria (Leila) Rebecca Pacheco (Nugent) was born August 17, 1928 at home.

Leila was born in San Pedro, Colorado to her parents Virilio Pacheco and Delfina Atencio.

She is survived by her Children, Ralph A. Nugent and his wife Eve, of Austin, Texas; Douglas J. Nugent and his wife Pat of Frederick, Colorado; Grandchildren, Chad Nugent and his wife Kelly, Austin Nugent and his wife Holly both of Denver, Colorado; Sisters, Elva Cardenas, Ann Zepp both of Denver, Colorado; Edna Edwards of Salt Lake City, Utah. Leila was also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Virilio and Delfina; brothers and sisters, Reginald, Fred, Ben, and Rudolph, Betty, Rebecca, Bonnie, Martha.

Leila graduated from Adams State College with Associates Degree in Finance.

Her career spanned 38 years as a Civil Servant for United State Air Force and Leila retired in 1988.

Her personal life revolved around serving others. As a young woman she worked as a Nurses Assistant at J.C.R.S of Denver. Well into her eighties she stayed actively involved in community service with the Women’s Elk, Moose, and the Emblem Clubs of America.

Her awards, honors and achievements are numerous.

Leilia’s Catholic Faith and her walk with God were part of her daily life.

Leila’s love of family and the pride she exhibited regarding her rich spanish heritage was reflected thru her extensive photo album collections.

Her love of story telling about the history of how her ancestors established/settled in the San Luis Valley of Colorado will live on Forever.

Mass will be held a Friday, July 30, 2020 at 10:30am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 900 West Midway, Boulevard, Broomfield, Colorado.

Leila will be laid to rest in San Luis, Colorado next to her parents at a later date.
