Lela Mae Orrino, 82, of Northglenn, Colorado passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born on February 1, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, Lela was the beloved daughter of the late Claude and Marjorie Gilmore.
Lela was a devoted wife to her husband, the late Jim Orrino. They were married June 3, 1960. She was a loving mother to her children, Scott (Kathy), Mark (Bebe), and a proud grandmother to Tess (Nicholas), Dilan (Rachel), Brooke (Derrick) and Joey (Hannah) and great-grandmother to Carson, Teagan, Reese, Cleo, Avery, Josie, Caraline and Nash. Lela is also survived by her brother-in-law Ralph (Jan) and her sister-in-law Shari and was preceded in death by her brother Jerry.
Lela worked as a Para Educator for Adams 12 Five Star Schools for 22 years. She enjoyed all the children so much.
Her hobbies were watching all her grandchildren play sports and spending time with all of them. Lela had many, many friends and loved going out to lunch and visiting with all of them.
Lela will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dumb Friends League. Lela loved all animals, especially her many dogs throughout her whole life.
