Lena Placida Economos

Saturday, November 9, 2019, Lena Economos, loving mother, dedicated grandmother and best Nana ever, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a short illness; she was 88.

Lena was born March 30, 1931, to Pedro and Maria Silva of Ignacio, Colorado. She lived a life full of love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite activities included golfing and playing cards.

Lena worked for years in the restaurant industry and later as a visiting nurse for the elderly. She volunteered thousands of hours with the church and for Catholic Charities. Her adult years were spent in Aurora, Colorado; North Platte, Nebraska; Denver and her final years in Littleton, Colorado where she resided with her daughter Linda and husband Gary Mills.

Lena was preceded in death by two husbands, Frank R Johnson and Jack W Economos, and by her son Frank R Johnson Jr. She is survived by one sister, Pauline Archuleta, four children, Karen Lee, George Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Linda Mills, seven grandchildren, Anthony Culver, David Culver, Frank R Johnson III, Sarah Montano, Diana Buchwald, Natalie Jesse and Jennifer Ray, and eleven great grandchildren, Makayla and Megan Martinez, Caleb and Cailey Montano, Isaiah and Adam Johnson, Cadence, Peyton and Maddison Culver, Landon and Lincoln Ray, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of long-time friends.
