Lena Joann Saccomano

Lena Joann Saccomano, 79, of Broomfield, Colorado entered into eternal life on October 10, 2019. Lena passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 14th, 1939 to Sicilian Immigrants, Joe and Jenny Spano.

One of 7 children, Lena spent her early life farming with her family and attending school. She was married to her husband Albert Louis Saccomano on June 4th, 1961. Soon after, she gave birth to her son, Joseph Dean Saccomano and daughter, Linette Mae Saccomano.

For over 43 years, Lena worked as the receptionist for the medical practice of Dr. Huggins, Complete Family Care, and CHPG Primary Care Northglenn.

In her spare time, she often traveled the world with her family and friends, as well as cooked for family gatherings, and attended church. In her final years she could be found at bible study and volunteering at the local school, reading to children.

Lena was loving and compassionate, generous and humble, and a safe place for all who needed her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her son, Joseph; her parents, Joe and Jenny; and her siblings, Phil, Tony, Rosie, and Marietta.

Lena is survived by her daughter, Linette; her grandchildren, Russell, Justin, Joseph, and Samantha; her great grandchildren, Avery, Dean, Evelyn, Reed, and Helen; and her sisters, Carmella and Anne.

Rosary & Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 17, 2019, 11:00am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1843 West 52nd Avenue, Denver. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
