Lenore Jeanne Williams

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska July 13, 1924 – Lenore Jeanne Beck. Graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska, where she was affiliated with Chi Omega sorority and Delta Omicron music sorority. Lenore married Dr. Herbert T. Williams on November 27, 1944 and they moved to Denver in 1948. She was a former member of the Junior Symphony Guild Board and the Denver Symphony Guild. She served as a board member of We Care Member of Wellshire Presbyterian Church. She also served as a member of Denver Symphony Debs. Lenore appeared in leading roles of the Bonfils Theatre production of 'Kiss Me Kate', 'Pajama Game' and 'Guys and Dolls.' She won two Fanny awards from 'The Players Club' as best actress. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Herbert T. Williams; son Gregg Jacob Lewis Williams; and brother, Jerry Beck. Survived by daughter Lynn Anne (John) Saunders; daughter in law Karen Williams; grandchildren Ryan (Lori) Williams, Lindsey Williams, Laura Saunders, Luke Saunders; great grandchildren Lillie and Mary Williams; and niece Terri (Tom) Downey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lenore's name to University of Nebraska School of Music, 113 Westbrook in Lincoln, Nebraska 68588-0100. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 3:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial, Colorado.
