Leon Jones Sr.

Leon Jones Sr., 92 of Aurora, Colorado, was born August 20, 1925 and passed away February 26, 2018. Leon is preceded in death by his children: Shirley Jones , Henry Jones, and Leon Jones Jr.. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Lee Jones; his children: Arnell Doublin (Don), Stella Jones, Lenora Hull, Emma Chambers, Wilbur Jones, and Wayne Jones; his many grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his in-laws; and his cousins. Leon was a member of the Free Masons for 65 years, a dedicated husband to Bessie Lee Jones for 72 years and retired Railroad Sherman of Unions Pacific Railroad after 44 years. Leon enjoyed bowling, fishing and was content with just relaxing at home after his retirement. He was a man of God who would speak the Word to people around him through all of his days. Leon was proud to be a son of a preacher and truly enjoyed having a good laugh. We will be celebrating the lives of Leon Jones Jr. and Sr., on Monday March 12, 2018, 10:00AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service (11150 E. Dartmouth Aurora, CO 80014).
