Leona Molen

Leona Molen, age 90, of Denver, CO passed away April 29, 2017. She was born in Highwood, MT, daughter to the late John and Mary (Pepos) Kalanick. Leona attended Great Falls High School and graduated in 1944. She then went on to study nursing at Columbus Hospital and graduated from their program in 1947. Leona worked as a registered nurse in OB/Labor and delivery, she assisted in the delivery of thousands of Denverites during her 35 years at St. Joseph Hospital. Survived by children Joe (Flavia), Jon (Mae), Julie (Mike) Moot, Mark, Mary (Bill) Johansen, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, May 4th, 6pm, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 1091 South Colorado Blvd., Denver; followed by a Visitation and Time of Sharing starting at 6:30. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 5th, 10am at St. James Catholic Church 1311 Oneida Street, Denver; Burial following at Chapel Hill Cemetery 6601 South Colorado Blvd., Centennial.
