Leonard Piccolo passed away peacefully in his home on January 22, 2014, surrounded by his family. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Annette, and daughter JoAnne. He attended North High School, graduated and reported to the Air Force to serve his country during World War II. Upon his return he met and married Annette Pavone and they were married for 65 years until her death in September, 2012. His career spanned many years in the printing industry, working with his nephew Ralph Anselmo. The church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel was the center of his life. He was a life-long member beginning with his baptism. He chaired many committees, and as a self taught magnificent woodworker with his help and guidance the parish hall was completed. With his enthusiasm and participation the annual Bazaar was always a great success. He loved fishing in the Rocky Mountains and always cheered his favorite Bronco's and Denver Nuggets. Leonard's memory is forever in our hearts and all who know him can never forget the consummate gentleman with the beautiful blue eyes who knew no strangers in this world. The family appreciates the loving and adoring care he received from his care givers and Shalom Hospice. They are to be commended for their attentiveness, compassion and overwhelming kindness. He is survived by his nieces Denise Gensch, Cynthia Wax, MaryAnn Bourchert, Rosemarie Zlotnick, and nephew John Anselmo.
