Leonice Mary Donahue

Leonice "Lee" M. Donahue of Cherry Hills Village, CO passed away July 22nd at the age of 82. Predeceased by husband William L.Donahue. Survived by, children William P. (Susan) Donahue, Rita Ochs, Teri (Tim) Goddard, Gregory S. (Lynn) Donahue, Mark (Elizabeth) Donahue and Lisa (Steve) Goodwin. Grandmother to Christopher, Simone, Jesse, Grace, Wes, Joe, Chris, Sara, Courtney, Ryan, Andrew, Matthew, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Kyle, Kevin and Will. Great Grandmother to Kailer, Traeton, Jayden, Titus and Kylie. Sister to Walter Giovannini of Prince Edward Island and Blanche Slaney of St. Lawrence, Newfoundland. Born to Gregory and Elizabeth on February 4, 1925 in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, Canada. After growing up helping her parents run a boarding house, she moved to Boston and lived with her aunt and uncle. She met her husband William of 55 years on St. Patrick's Day and married him on October 7, 1950. Their early family life was challenging - moving from city to city as Bill's career with the FBI advanced and their family grew. She worked hard to provide a comforting home for her family despite the short stays. In 1966 they moved to Colorado and found a place that they could finally call home. As her kids grew older, she found more time for her favorite sport, golf and spent many weekends in Vail. As her kids had kids, she made every Christmas a day of family and love. Funeral Mass to be held Friday, July 27th at 10:00am at St. Louis Church, 3310 South Sherman in Englewood. Visitation, Thursday, July 26th 6:30pm at Horan&McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Rosary to follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Louis Church, 3310 S. Sherman, Englewood, CO 80113.
