LeRoy Compton, 76, of Thornton, died July 29, 2009. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Violet Mae; proud father of Katie (Jim) Carpenter, Tim (Gala) Compton, and Lee Compton; grandfather of 7; and great-grandfather of 11. Memorial Service, Monday, 11am, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Thornton at 9998 Grant Street. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Denver Zoological Foundation, 2300 Steele St., Denver, CO 80205.
