Les G. Alexander

Les G. (Bud) Alexander passed away on November 5, 2008. Les is survived by his wife Judith, daughters Virginia Lee Alexander and Melanie Lynn Alexander Sherman (Greg), mother Della Alexander, and sister Peggy Lee Dunbar. He is also survived by seven grand children, Paul, Brandon, Melissa (Josh), Trisha (Jerimiah), Dominic, Brittany, and Ashley, ten great grandchildren, Desmond, Jacob, Andrew, Ayden, Brooklyn, Mikayla, Ethan, Trinity, Hannah, and Lilli, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Les retired from Pubic Service Company of Colorado after 34 years of service. As a young man he worked for the U.S. Geological Survey and spent time working in the timber. He was proud to have served as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He attended CSU and was a graduate of Regis University. Les enjoyed his service as a member of Lions Clubs International. During his many years of service as a Lion he served a term as District Governor for the Denver area (6C). He also served as a board member and President of the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank. A memorial service will be held honoring Les on Thursday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, P.O. Box 6026, Aurora, CO 80045.
